Poll Result: Top 6 - Who would you like to see return to the West End

So, here is the countdown of the top 6 people you would like to see return to the West End...

6th Place
Tamara Wall
45 votes -5%

Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Brooke in Legally Blonde (West End) Numerous other shows including We Will Rock You & Fame!

Tamara is an outstanding West End performer and I would like to thank her for tweeting about the poll! And to answer your question Tamara, no, it's not sad you voted for yourself because you are incredibly talented and deserve to return to the West End as soon as possible! I think it is such a shame that Tamara had to leave Legally Blond early and was not able to stay until the end of it's run in the West End. She is an amazing performer and brings something different. I know others have said it but she would make an amazing Roxie Hart is Chicago! Both her look and voice would be perfect. I hope to have the thrill of seeing Tamara back on the West End where she belongs very soon.

5th Place
Richard Fleeshman
53 votes -5%

Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Sam in Ghost the Musical (West End, Broadway & Manchester), Warner In Legally Blonde (West End)

Richard Fleeshman's theatre career has only just begun! So far it has been amazing, he has a great voice which is different to your traditional Musical Theatre voice - which I like as it works. It will be interesting to see what he does next after he finished Ghost on Broadway.

3rd Place (Joint)
Sheridan Smith & Louise Dearman
71 votes -7%

Sheridan Smith
Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Doris in Flare Path (West End) Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (West End)

Sheridan Smith is part of the next generation of theatre. She has such an amazing career with heaps of film and television work alongside plays and musicals. Is is sad that she recently pulled out of Bridget Jones the Musical as she would have been amazing. However I do hope we don't have to wait too long for her to return to the West End, I think I would go and see anything that she is in, as anything she is in will be amazing.

Louise Dearman

Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Glinda in Wicked (West End)

Louise is such a graceful performer who puts her all and so much thought into every single movement. She is currently preparing to release her second album and has just finished touring with our winner Lee Mead. However it would great to see her back in another show soon! Now that Sheridan has quit Bridget Jones the Musical could Louise take over? We will have to wait and see...

Also a massive thank you to Louise Dearman fans for tweeting and spreading the word about the poll!

2nd Place
Kerry Ellis
285 votes - 29%

Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Nancy in Oliver (West End), Elphaba in Wicked (West End & Broadway), Fantine iLes Misérables (West End), Meat in We Will Rock You (West End)

Kerry Ellis led the poll more the last few days before Lee Mead reclaimed the top spot in the last day. I would like to give a massive thank you to Kerry Ellis Web (http://www.kerryellisweb.co.uk/) who wrote an article and tweeted about the poll. I would also like to thank Kerry personally for tweeting about the poll.

I still have not seen Kerry live so she has to return to the West End so I can watch her perform and hear that growl she is so famous for!

1st Place
Lee Mead
370 votes - 38%

Most Famous/Recent Theatre Credits: Emmett in Legally Blonde (West End), Fiyero in Wicked (West End), Lord Arthur Savile's Crime (UK Tour), the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (West End)

Massive thank you to http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=2462310622&frmid=10&msgid=1154349&cmd=show and http://blogs.thestage.co.uk for supporting the poll so amazingly, I really appreciate your support and Lee is lucky to have such incredibly dedicated fans. I hope you will continue to read West End Frame and I will be sure to follow Lee's career on the blog!

I have seen Lee many times on stage in Wicked & Legally Blonde. He comes across as highly professional and what I like about his performance is that he will hold back so then when he really goes for it you go 'wow'. It would be great to see him return to the West End with another massive role like he had is Joseph as he had smaller roles in Legally Blonde and Wicked. Also I hope he does a longer run next time as he was only in Legally Blonde for 3 months! Lee is a fantastic performer and I look forward to seeing him back in the West End again soon.
